Diane Tanner

Co-founder and Marketing Manager

Diane is a seasoned marketing professional with experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. She began her career in New York City with Field & Stream Magazine and went on to hold various corporate roles across several magazine titles.

Prior to her decision to transition to nonprofit work,  Diane served as a Senior Marketing Manager in Corporate Marketing at Time Inc./Time Warner.


Following a move to London and then the Bay Area, Diane dedicated her time to working with the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT) in Woodside, CA, and the National Brain Tumor Foundation.  When she returned to NYC,

Diane, along with her family dog Millie, became a certified Canine Therapy Team through The Good Dog Foundation and was honored to have been selected to be a part of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Caring Canines program. Diane and Millie also worked with A Fair Shake 4 Youth, visiting schools as part of a social-emotional learning program.

Diane is a lifelong equestrian.  Riding whenever she had the chance, she eventually competed on the East Coast "A" circuit in equitation and hunters. She and her horse Golden Rule finished 5th in the country in Small Junior Hunters in her final year as a Junior. While in the Bay Area, Diane competed in Cutting, as part of the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association.

Diane is deeply passionate about the equestrian community and appreciates the profound impact horses have had on her, and our, lives.  She is VP of the Board of Directors of WindWalkers TRC, and is an active member of several boards in the Roaring Fork Valley. She spends her free time with her family, beloved dog Millie and her horses Duke and Jake.
